In reviewing questions submitted in response to the EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Track‐2 Request for Proposals (RFP), it has come to our attention that some potential applicants are under the impression that single‐investigator proposals can be submitted under this competition. This is not the case.

As noted in the RFP, only “collaborative proposals from teams that must include investigators from both states” are being solicited from consortiums that can “collaboratively undertake a project that shows that the consortium is well‐positioned to produce project results that cannot be obtained by any single partner working independently.”

Proposals from single investigators, or those that involve investigators from only one state will be returned without review.
