ORSP-IG Grant Reviewers Needed

ORSP is seeking reviewers for ORSP-IG proposals for 2015-16, starting this summer.  63 pre-proposals were received for Round 1 (due date was May 8). A subset of these will be invited as full proposals. Reviewers are needed for both pre-proposals and full proposals in the 3 anticipated rounds of funding in 2015-16. The estimated time commitment is 10-20 hours per round, depending on the volume of pre-proposals and the number of full proposals invited. Reviewers who have served on peer review panels, and/or who have been successful in garnering peer reviewed funding, are especially encouraged to apply to be reviewers. It is envisioned that reviewing IG pre-proposals and full proposals can count toward the service requirement for faculty. For potential reviewers who would require compensation as "extra pay for extra work" or as a payment to the department in order to participate, those reviewers are asked to make that requriement known at the time of application. To apply, simply send an e-mail to Jason Hale (jghale@olemiss.edu) stating your interest, qualifications, avaialability, what category/disciplines you would be comfortable reviewing for, and any conditions for serving.

For Round 1, pre/proposals have been broken down into five disciplinary categories: Biological/Helath Science; Social Science; Physical Science and Engineering; Math/Computational Science; and Arts/Humanities. Depending on the volume of pre/proposals received in future rounds, these review categories may change.
