The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) is soliciting applications for projects to plan the development of effective interventions using community based participatory research (CBPR) approaches. Grants will be awarded to help develop and strengthen partnerships between researchers and health disparity communities to plan and pilot interventions for a disease or condition to reduce health disparities.
UM is allowed to submit only one proposal in response to this Funding Opportunity Announcement. Prospective UM investigators wishing to compete for the sole UM institutional slot should send a draft letter of intent (in the format specified by the FOA) and a one page summary description of the proposed work to the Office of of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Sponsored Programs by 4PM Wednesday, May 16, in order to be considered for this slot.
